Michael Shannon, M.D.
Dr. Shannon began practicing in the Saddleback Valley in l973, originally in Mission Viejo, and
since 1996, in Laguna Hills. Dr. Shannon has a special interest in infant and toddler growth and
development and in the parenting of first children.
"My basic philosophy about children is that we must listen to what they tell us from their first sound
and facilitate their development of SELF, beginning at birth!"
Dr. Shannon has been married to his wife, Vera, since 1968 and has two children, Michael (a
pediatric dentist in Mission Viejo on Crown Valley Parkway below Mission Hospital

professor at the University of West Virginia http://www.wvu.edu/~physed/shannon/ ). Dr. Shannon
has two grandsons, Spencer and Owen, who live at his home in San Clemente and brighten every

Mary Ann Wilkinson, M.D.
Dr. Mary Ann Wilkinson has been practicing in South Orange County since 1992. She loves the thrill and enjoyment of caring for kids of all ages, from birth thru adolescence. She believes being a doctor for children is truly a
family affair, requiring a joint effort between doctor and parents to raise
a healthy and happy child.
In her spare time, Dr. Wilkinson keeps busy with her two boys, Will and Luke, and her husband Gary.

Jan M. Johnson, M.D.
Dr. Johnson was born and raised in Southern California. She attended college (BOOMER
SOONER) and medical school in the midwest. Dr. Johnson has been in practice with
Seaview Pediatrics since 1999. She cares for children from birth to 18 years of age.
"It is a joy and privilege to take care of children. My goal as a practitioner is to help my
families raise healthy, confident, self-capable children."
Dr. Johnson has been married since 1992. She and her husband have 3 children. Peyton,
Dane and new baby, Callan. She most enjoys spending her free time playing golf, reading,
exercising and being with her family.

Dan T. Kouwabunpat, M.D.
Dr. Kouwabunpat graduated from Northwestern University Medical
School in 1997 and completed his Internship and Residency in Pediatrics
at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles in 2000, at which time he joined Seaview
in Aliso Viejo and Laguna Hills.
"As a pediatrician, my approach is to help families optimize the overall
health and well-being of their children through principles of nutrition,
physical activity, and emotional & social development. Ultimately,
the goal is to help these children become well-rounded individuals who
lead healthy, fulfilling lives who inspire others by the way in which they live."
Dr. Kouwabunpat is married to Dr. Yu-Hua Fang, a physician in Internal Medicine
in San Juan Capistrano. They have three daughters.

Catharina Wolde-Yohannes, M.D.
Dr. Yohannes was born and raised in Sweden. Following medical school in Sweden and residency at UCI,
she began work in pediatrics with Kaiser Permanente. Dr. Yohannes joined Seaview Pediatrics in 1999.
"Every day I go to work I enjoy taking care of children and following their growth and development
from tender, dependent little newborns to strong, independent, very unique individuals.
I like to focus on parent educaton, illness prevention and safety and to help parents bring up healthy,
happy children and young adults."
Dr. Yohannes lives in Mission Viejo with her three children, two in college and one in high school.
She enjoys the outdoors, sports and traveling, but most of all, spending time with her children.

Celia H.P. Chiang, M.D.
Dr. Chiang worked as an engineer before realizing that medicine, and specifically pediatrics, was her true calling. She attended UCSD for medical school and completed her residency at Harbor-UCLA in 1999. After working briefly for Kaiser-Permanente, she joined Sea View Pediatrics in March 2000.
"I love working with children. I believe that each child is unique and should be treated as such by parents and pediatrician alike. In order to promote the growth and development of happy, healthy children, it is also important to support and educate their parents. One of my biggest roles, therefore, is as a resource and guide for parents as their children make the journey from infancy through childhood and into adolescence."
Dr. Chiang's outside interests include tennis, volleyball, reading, and writing; but what she enjoys most is spending time with her husband, Rob, and their son, Ryan.

Kathy A. Teeple, M.D.
Dr. Teeple was raised in Northern California and attended college at UC Santa Barbara. She
continued her medical education in New York and completed her residency at Childrens Hospital
Los Angeles before joining Seaview Pediatrics. Kathyand her husband, Matt, and two sons,
Caden and Colton, live in San Clemente.
“My greatest satisfaction is derived from working with children and their parents to promote optimal health and successful transitions from birth to young adulthood. My goal is to provide the highest quality of care and develop life long relationships.”
In her free time, Dr. Teeple enjoys playing golf, running, and snow skiing and spending time with family.

Scott Gaitan, MD
Dr. Gaitan graduated from UCLA School of Medicine in 1996 and
completed his residency at Harbor-UCLA in 1999. He subsequently
moved to Northern California where he kept a busy private practice.
Additionally, he was a Neonatal and Pediatric Hospitalist and an
Assistant Clinical Professor at UCSF. Warm weather and beautiful
beaches pulled his family back to Southern California in 2007, at which
time Dr. Gaitan joined Sea View Pediatrics.
Dr. Gaitan enjoys caring for children of all ages and truly believes
that it is a team effort with the whole family. He strives to achieve an
excellent foundation of physical and emotional growth in his patients by
encouraging parental involvement and considerate parental education.
In his spare time, Dr. Gaitan enjoys soaking up the sun with plenty
of outdoor activities with his wife, also a pediatrician, and two children.

Paige Natori, MD
Dr. Natori graduated from Boston University School of Medicine in 2002. She
completed her internship and residency at Harbor-UCLA in 2005 after which she
started practicing in South Orange County. She joined Sea View Pediatrics in
2009.
“I find it rewarding to watch parents bond with their babies and grow with them
and I feel honored be a part of this process. My goal as a pediatrician is to educate
and help families raise happy and healthy children. What more can I say except
that I love kids and I love what I do!”
Dr. Natori is married to her medical school sweetheart Dr. Mark Foster who is a
family physician in Laguna Hills. Dr. Natori, Mark and her son Zane live in
Laguna Niguel.

Barbara Petty, MD
Dr. Petty has been practicing in South Orange County since 1983. Dr. Petty has a special
interest in children with Asthma. She also has a special interest in treating patients with
ADD and ADHD.
Dr. Petty is very active in the local medical community. She is President of the Board of
Directors for Kids Doc Pediatric After Hours Urgent Care. Dr. Petty serves on many
committees for CHOC at Mission, Mission Hospital, and Saddleback Hospital.
Dr. Petty is married to Stephen Petty, MD and has two sons. She also has three stepdaughters
and seven grandchildren. Dr. Petty is very involved with her family and she
loves to travel. Dr. Petty is also Bilingual speaking Spanish and English.

NURSE PRACTITIONERS

Lydia Moore, MSN, CPNP
Lydia Moore worked as an RN at CHOC in Orange in the NICU
for seven years before returning to school at Cal State
Long Beach, where she earned a Master's Degree in Nursing
including training as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
Lydia has worked as a PNP since 1995, originally in another
practice in Mission Viejo, and with Seaview in the Laguna Hills
office since 1998.
Lydia states, "I've always enjoyed working with children.
A big part of caring for children is education and working
with the family."
Lydia has been married to her husband, Eric, since 1999. They
live in Laguna with their daughter, Tatiana.
